On The Economy September 19, 2008 – Posted in: Aberrant Normalcy

So greedy pigs on Wall Street basically create a mammoth Ponzi scheme and make trillions, then when the world markets crash when said scheme fails, the taxpayers are supposed to bail these fuckers out?  I mean, really?  While I understand that the economy affects all, is it really up to the hard-working schmoes like me and you to pay for the greed and downright gluttony of these fat cats?  Then, in insult to injury, the Bush Administration is asking for broad new powers to execute their bail out plan.  Go figure, the US Administration asking for more executive power?  What the hell did I do to deserve this new tax burden?  Of course, the eggheads of Wall Street are praising the plan, and world financial markets rebounded on the news.  I say, if I am to shoulder this burden with the rest of my American brethren, then the fascist rewriting of the bankruptcy laws (which make it harder for folks like me and you to declare bankruptcy) need to be repealed.  If they can get off scott free for scams that they pull, I should be able to get off, well, for fucking trying my damn hardest to make a living and the supposed American dream.  Damn.
