I know it's a week late, but it was a holiday weekend and I worked two hours in the pouring rain at a farmers' market. So please forgive me for just now catching up. Really enjoyed your appearance on "Hour of the Wolf" and the critiquing of Kris's story. To add my own random thought, I ditto the comment on the story needing conflict, but I'd like to propose that rather than external (girl vs. magician), it be internal. After all, kids who are outcast know *exactly* who to blame for their condition - themselves. So, she hates herself, and our flea circus impresario must show (not tell - kids are thorough story editors) her how to like herself. Just a thought, and Kris can relate how I edit NYRSF pieces, so she can tell that I have shields down and phasers disarmed. :)

No, no, no. I was the incoherent guy with marbles in his mouth who sat too far away from the microphone. But the rest of you sounded extremely eloquent!

You sounded fine Devin. Your mildly Mid-Western/Southern twang is quite charming and adds color to the group...

And Kris, you sounded great!

My LI accent on the other hand...

You sounded great Kris. I, on the other hand... Ugh. If we get around to doing one of my stories on air, I believe I'll hire some pro voice talent to read for me.

are you kidding? you all told me I sounded like Brenda Vacarro. I just listened -- I'm like a chipmunk on helium.

But I did appreciate the great crits, and it was pretty cool sitting around just shooting the breeze on the air with Jim.

It was great sharing this adventure with you and the rest of AlteredFluid. Getting up at 2:30 a.m. made a shambles of the rest of my day-- even after naps, I'm feeling out of sorts--but it was worth it.

That Kris has got one heckuva sexy radio voice!
