One day, they hope to use it to charge your cellphone while idle. The technology is not new. RFID chips, the kind embedded in those security tags at the store, generate electricity from a specific radio frequency in order to power their circuit. I think this technology is incredibly fascinating. One more step on the way to 100% renewable energy usage.
