The evening went swimmingly, says I.  Veronica Schanoes enthralled with her (supposedly half-true) story, “Lost in the Supermarket.”  Eliyahoo Talgam read several short but powerful poems and later showed us his new photography project called “Egg Leg.”  He also handed out his digital camera and had everyone in the audience take a picture of whatever they wanted with it.  Then, just before John Bredin introduced me he handed me a newspaper article stating that Sybil’s Cave (the inspiration for the name “Sybil’s Garage”) had just re-opened for the first time in a century this week.  That was kind of synchronistic, we thought.  Then I finished off with “The Writing’s on the Wall,” a story about a man who thinks the bathroom stall graffitti is communicating with him.  It was a fun and pleasurable night, and I just want to thank ABC No Rio for hosting us, John Bredin for organizing the event, and Veronica Schanoes and Eliyahoo Talgam for their presence.

Pictures of the evening can be found here.

UPDATE: Eli sent me a link to the photos taken with his camera.  Some were taken by his son, Baer, and the rest were taken by the audience.
