KGB Host for a Day

Yes, that timorous figure you saw behind the lectern last night at KGB was yours truly, asked to fill in for a jet lagged Gavin Grant who was “so far behind he was looking at the back of his head,” or some such.  We heard Michael Swanwick and David Keck read from their works, both very entertaining authors, then we trekked over to the usual Grand Sichuan for excellent Chinese and hot sake.

I asked Eugene Myers and Alaya Dawn Johnson to fill in as surrogate Ellen and take photos, which I will upload soon.

KGB has always been the seminal event for SF in the New York area (with the exception of, perhaps, NYRSF), so it was pretty cool and also nerve-wracking to be host for the day.  Thanks to Altered Fluid and Rick Bowes for moral support.
