The city? Crowded? During the Holidays? Who'd have thunk it!

Better hope no one reads this and then comes upon us at the subway entrance after the next Altered Fluid meeting...

A previous job of mine meant commuting through Times Square during rush hour every weekday---and not infrequently on Saturday nights as well. It was...a bit frustrating. On Wednesdays in particular, I sometimes fantasized about emulating Robert Stack in AIRPLANE!, drop-kicking and pummeling the matinee-exiting horde until it cleared a path for those of us WITH THINGS TO DO.

(I work night shifts now and I'm a much happier person for it. Tourists generally scurry away from anyone walking at New York speeds at night. Hooray for ingrained stereotypes!)
