New Senses Five Logo November 15, 2007 – Posted in: Aberrant Normalcy

Senses Five PressIf you haven’t noticed yet, we have a new logo for Senses Five Press. Well, I should say we simply have a logo. There wasn’t an official one before, just a series of interesting images and silhouettes I’ve used with no particular continuity to any one. I played around with different ideas, and some concepts were suggested to me by friends, but ultimately I decided on the one you see here at left. It’s a mourning dove in mid flight, echoing the William Blake quote1 where the name of the press originates. The font is serifed, but not gothic or too ornate, which emphasizes that while we do, often, have an antique aesthetic in our publications, we also strive to be modern. I think the font represents that perfectly.

What do you think?
